This was the episode that was broadcast over Justin.tv a couple weeks ago. I meant to put it up earlier, but with the bandwidth issues…well here we are lol. If you want to check out what the stream looked like, just go to my channel on Justin.TV and then click “More From: gootecks’s channel.” Yes, I know my back should not be to the camera, next time I’ll have a webcam or something so you can see everybody.
Are the inputs more flexible on console?
Are Seth and Gouken tournament viable?
How to do the El Fuerte infinite and the timing differences
The site is now on a different server so now I’m okay on bandwidth again. But now the RSS feed is broken and I have zero clue how to fix it. If anybody can help, please let me know: gootecks *AT* gootecks *DOT*COM*
I’d really appreciate it, thanks!
RSS feed works now!
Okay so stuff might be broken around here for a little bit because of a screwup on my end.
I made the mistake of including a video file with too high of a bitrate in the podcast feed over the weekend and it caused all subscribers to repeatedly download the file over and over because iTunes would delete it automatically. So basically I used up pretty much all of my bandwidth for the month. The billing cycle ends on April 4th so I’m trying to move my stuff to a new host in the meantime so I don’t get hit by a HUGE bandwidth bill.
BTW, Media Temple (my current host) really sucks. $2.65 for each GB after my 1TB allotment. RIDICULOUS. I’m going to be disabling audio/video downloads until I get this stuff sorted out. Sorry about that, it’s only temporary. I have 16GB of bandwidth left until the end of the billing cycle so I gotta make it last…otherwise the hosting bill is going to be nothing short of astronomical.
I’m sure some of you guys have already seen this but in case you haven’t, here is the first part of the first episode of The Dogface Show!
Mike Ross and I were guests on the first episode which is a talk show hosted by Dogface, loosely based around the idea of chatting it up with top Street Fighter players about usually non-Street Fighter stuff. Dogface is also the host of Street Fighter Bar Fights, so if you haven’t checked out the show and are coming to Bar Fights, this is what you’re in for!
Special treat for podcast subscribers! James Chen was nice enough to encode an iPhone/iPod version of the show so if you are subscribed, then you should have gotten the first part as part of the RSS feed. If you’re not yet subscribed….
Here it is, the first Street Fighter Bar Fights poster!
Super ultra mega thanks to D.S.H. from Austin, TX who did a fantastic job by not only coming up with an amazing concept, but also dealing with me and my super pickiness. Thank you Derek! If you need some design work done, email him!! His email is: fodabear@yahoo.com. Thank you Derek!!
We’re back finally after a long break. Sorry about that guys, things have been pretty hectic over here due to the release of Street Fighter 4. Here is a short list of topics:
Forgot to mention that the first half was recorded last Monday the 9th and then we had technical difficulties and finished up Thursday. So this was before we actually went to Final Round this weekend.
This contest is going to be held from 5PM-6PM. If you beat one of the pros (to be determined later) 2 out of 3 games, you’ll win $500. This contest is free, all you’ll need is a raffle ticket which we’ll be distributing at the event or beforehand here on the site. It’s open to anyone except players who have placed Top 8 before at a SF4 tournament. You know who you are! The idea is to get new players who haven’t been placing high in tournaments to really practice up between now and then to try to win the money.
Hope you guys can make it out! Any questions, please post them here or email me at barfights *AT* gootecks *DOTCOM*
P.S. AND! We’ll be recording the matches and releasing a DVD towards the end of April so be on the lookout for that!

Okay so this is something new I’m going to try out. I have Kai and Bebop here with me on the show and we’re going to try and broadcast it on Justin.TV. Let’s see how it goes lol.
So I got an interesting phone call yesterday from a non-Street Fighter friend telling me that I was on TV, on G4! WOW! Holy crap, right?!
Never been on TV before for anything in my life, so this was quite a shocker! This was after the Gamestop Tournament at Universal Citywalk that I won. What a bunch of craziness! Thank you Xplay for featuring me as well as putting gootecks.com below my name!
So after I got peaced out of Round 2 of the Gamestop tourney, I found out that the site was down. My current web host, Media Temple, had a huge issue with the cluster I’m on (you could call it a clusterfuck, ha, I got jokes) so that’s why the site was down all weekend. What a drag. Anyways, so I’m in the process of switching hosts so hopefully it’ll be a seamless transition and you guys won’t notice anything.
