Back with another episode! This time it’s Evo 2009 3rd Place finisher Ed Ma, one of SoCal’s finest players.  He placed the highest out of everybody on the West Coast so props to him!  Also, thanks to Miles Mosley and his crew for creating the awesome intro that you hear at the beginning.  For those not aware, apparently there are a lot of established musicians out there that play Street Fighter 4 casually and keep up with the scene so shoutouts to those guys!  Street Fighter 4 has friends in the best and most unexpected places.  :)

Topics covered include:

  • our drive to Vegas
  • Ed’s mentality when going on stage
  • what it was like to play Daigo
  • Evo surprises

Hadouken: Street Fighter IV Dash: Let your voice be heard!

Street Fighter IV dash, the imminent yet to be announced sequel to this year's best fighting game should be in the works. Ono San and other Capcom emplyees have made it clear that they are listening to us fans and we should let them know what we want in the soon to be announced sequel.

Few Capcom untiy users, including myself, have created some threads asking for some specific additions or modes in SF4 Dash, the most notable one is the "ggpo forsf4 dash" thread weher we are letting Capcom know that GGPO style Netcode is a must for the sf4 sequel. While sf4 is a great game the online is far from perfect especially compared to the awesome lag-free HD Remix netcode.

The second thread is mainly for Street Fighter story lore fanbatics. In it i asked Capcom about adding a detailed story mode a la Blazblue (if you haven't checked that do so immediatly). While some people disagree i believe Street Fighter series has a great stroline outlined however it was never really fleshed out, except for few points and timelines (sf alpha for example).
A story mode (in addition to the normal arcde mode) will give Capcom the opportunity and medium to flesh out all their characters. Aksys did a great job in terms of storytelling and story mode in blazblue.

Agree or disagree? Make sure to let Capcom know:

Hadouken: BlazBlue + King of Fighters XII + Fighting Sticks = Awesome

Chances are you already know how awesome BlazBlue is. IGN gave it a freaken 9.4. Many of you also know that King of Fighters XII just came out. Amazon has the best prices on it, so I’m going to give you a link for them below.

The real reason for this post is to let you know that I’ve been watching what everyone is saying about BlazBlue and KOF XII on fighting game forums, twitter, and facebook. Everyone loves these games, but it is essential to have a good fight stick to really experience them in the way they were meant to be played. If there are any of you playing BlazBlue, KOF XII, or Street Fighter IV without a fight stick…you have to get one. Ask any serious fighting game fan and they will tell you how essential they are.

There are many fighting sticks on the market. I’ve built a few from scratch as well as purchased a few over the shelf ones. The one I’m a fan of right now is the SF IV Tournament Stick from Mad Catz. The reviews for it are pretty solid.

I’ve also read good things about these HORI sticks (plus they are more affordable)

Here are some more sticks at Amazon and Play-Asia. Have fun!
