This Thursday night
in downtown San Francisco, Capcom’s own Melody Pfeiffer
is putting together a massive event to benefit the
leukemia & lymphoma society.

There’s bands, DJs, dancing, and drinks, but the
reason why this might interest the Unity crew is that
there will also be some rad collectors items, including
the Resident Evil 5 blood drive posters, ultra-rare
zombrex pens/posters from Dead Rising 2 (going for $120
on eBay!?
), RE5 infection detection kits,
iam8bit Street Fighter posters and
more…

iam8bit artist
Dave
Crosland
will also be there cranking out live
art, and maybe you can twist his arm into making some
brand new Capcom creations?

Everything goes straight to charity, so hit the
jump for the full details.

We’ve actually
got a double dose of SSFIV

this time out, with a massive amount
of info on Hakan. We learn how they made the
choice to go with Turkish Oil wrestling, how they managed
his beautifully oily look, and that yes, that is his
hair.
Really.

Seriously… we’re not
kidding.

Today saw the internet literally explode
(seriously, go pick up the pieces, I’ll wait) with Super
Street Fighter IV previews.

Over
on Kotaku, Brian Crecente let’s you
know just href="http://kotaku.com/5499389/why-youre-going-to-buy-super-street-fighter-iv">Why
You’re Going to Buy Super Street Fighter
IV:

But the
biggest reason you’re going to want to pick up the $40
Super Street Fighter IV is because of the way is strives
to recreate the arcade feel of playing against your
friends without having to get them all to come over to
your house for a
mini-tournament.

While
Joystiq’s href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/23/super-street-fighter-iv-hands-on-preview/">Xav
de Matos writes:

I love me some Street Fighter, but I’ve
never been especially good at it. My time with the Super
Street Fighter IV preview build has only served to
solidify the truth: I need to step up my game because
Capcom looks to prove — yet again — that Street Fighter
is the premiere fighting game
franchise.

In addition,
IGN offers a detailed rundown of all
the new features in the game, which you can check out
href="http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/107/1079171p1.html">here.

Finally, href="http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/supersf4/news.html?sid=6253476&mode=previews&tag=topslot;thumb;1">Gamespot
has an awesome interview with SSFIV’s producer, Ono-san,
in which he discusses the return of the bonus stages and
the rebalancing of characters. It’s a must read for any
SF fans!

That’s about it! Hope
you enjoyed this fix of Super Street Fighter IV
news!
