Why do I suck....

with my fightstick? I bought a SE fightstick on launch and it crapped out 3 weeks later. Since then I had been waiting on my Sanwa buttons and JLF. They came in recently, but to my dismay, I can't win to save my life. I'm thinking about scrapping the stick and sticking with my sixaxis. Any tips on what I could do to get better? Being in G1, there is very little room for error or practice. I was thinking about starting over in G3 and working my way up with the stick.

PS3 or Xbox? ethier way you can make new account to start over, if you don't want to do that then I suggest practicing your execution in training mode then once you get the hang of your combos and movements again go and do some player matches for awhile, there are normally lower level players kicking around in there that can help you get use to you stick again

It's probably only the "new feeling"...been there just a few months ago and was tempted to just say, "okay, screw that, back to the pad!". But now I won't switch to anything else at all anymore. I think even before you're really comfortable with using the stick, you will already realize how much more "potential" it has compared to a pad.
In short: don't be frustrated by being worse than before, you'll soon be able to play better than ever.

I'm on PS3. I already started over in G3. I have been working in practice mode, but it seems that the timing is different online. Like online I can do Rog's jab x2, ex upper 4 times (just for show, mostly against Gief's) into headbutt and finally ultra, but in practice I can barely loop it twice! Ugghh, frustrating!

Yeah, I'm getting a little better day by day. How do I go about posting pictures on here? I peeled off the whack decal it comes with and custom painted it! I would like to get some feedback on how it looks.

dude I feel you.... when I play the pc version online the delay kills me -.- I time akuma's combos by looking at character movements and hits, but when I am playing online, it's so difficult for me to connect hits because when I saw the first hit and press the second hit, it is delayed and messes up the whole combo, so I guess I'll have to time the button inputs instead from now on -.- and don't get me started on long distance tackling attacks.. they are impossible to block unless I hold block before they start =(
