Tips for fighting Ryu SF4

Ok guys, I need some help.

As a Ken main, I have trouble with a few characters, but none are so bad as Ryu.

Seriously, its like a wall I just cannot pass, he outdoes everything I can do to him in terms of damage and priority.

So I need tips and strategies that can help me beat Ryu players!

I think I can help you out, how does ryu kill you by? close combat or fireball spamming, i'm good in studying ryu AND ken, so if anything is more speficly described, I think i can give good tips .

I can get around fireballs easily enough, but when I get in his priority is so high I can't do anything to him.

Example: He beat my super (as Ken) with a jab SRK. :|

dude Ken is ultimate when it comes to wake-ups and what not...just get in close and heavy shoryuken all day....ifthe ryu gets smart and blocks switch up with tatsumaki's and the like...definitely do those in the air...spam hadoukens....and remembers kens shoryuken goes through things...like i've literally seen a ryu throw a hadouken and ken still pull of his 1st ultra perfectly...the animation just shows the fireball going through him...kens more versatile then ryu if i may say so...and this is coming from a ryu supporter all the way...kens faster and moves better...i eat ryus for breakfast when im ken lol...
